Public Service Recognition Week, observed nationally during the first full week of May, highlights the vital contributions of public servants and encourages careers in public service.
To celebrate, the City of Houston hosts a poster contest showcasing municipal jobs. Young artists illustrate a city job they would like to perform, fostering awareness of municipal careers while bringing families together through art.
